Infinity: Margot WIP

I’m back working on my Merovingians since I’m less than satisfied with my Raicho’s paint scheme at the moment. I’ll need to repaint some parts of the Morat TAG as I’m not too thrilled with it; it looks a bit too Jokerish with my bone, purple, and green paint scheme. So, I started painting up Margot of the Mirage 5 team. I love her sculpt, especially her face which is very expressive. Unfortunately, it looks like my flesh-tone paints got a little grainy so I’ll have to replace those sometime soon.

Infinity: Raicho Base

I’m not a huge fan of base extensions for TAGs (Mechs) in Infinity, mainly because I’m using the “Urban Streets” resin bases from Secret Weapon Miniatures and the extensions don’t line up very well. I’ve been working on a solution for my Raicho’s base extension, and I think it worked out nicely!

Infinity: Traktor Mul and Raicho

I’ve finished up another model for my Merovingians. This time it’s a Traktor Mul. These guys are essentially primitive fire-support robots and are fielded mostly by the future-Russians. I changed the paint scheme to better match my Merovingians (the Mul’s stock scheme is green), and attempted some chipped paint weathering. For the base, I followed the mud tutorial at Secret Weapon Miniatures and I think it turned out nice for my first attempt. There’s a photo of the Mul after the break!

Infinity: More Merovingians

Another quick update on my Merovingians! I finished up the highlighting, shading, painted on some varnish, and mounted them on their bases. However, thanks to the camera’s magic eye, I found a few spots that require touch-ups. Overall, the Moblot, Metros, and Loup Garous are finished! Coming up next on my workbench I have two more Loup Garous, a Chasseur, a Zouave, a Traktor Mul, and a bunch of primed models.

Infinity: Merovingian Rapid Response Force – WIPs

I’ve made more progress with my Merovingians. I have a group of Metros (light infantry) mostly finished and based. I really like how these guys are turning out; the stock color scheme for the Merovingians is my favorite in the game. Work in progress photos follow the break!

Infinity: Merovingian Rapid Response Force – Moblot

I’ve been painting up my Merovingians, and I’m nearly done with the Moblot that came in the starter pack. I mostly stuck with the default color scheme with a few deviations. Also, instead of her midriff showing, I gave her a blue shirt to match the rest of her under-armor. Pictures below!

Back to it!

Well it’s been a while since I last posted, and until recently, it’s been a while since I’ve even painted anything. I have a huge backlog on my desk right now, so I’ll just give a run down on what I’m working on.

New Infinity Book & Faction

Starter box for the Tohaa?

So it seems there will be a new faction in the upcoming Infinity campaign book: the Tohaa. That announcement got me pretty excited because I’d love to have another alien faction, especially one with a consistent look. That’s mainly why I like the Combined Army sectorials rather than vanilla Combined. I know the Shasvastii cover the Morats’ weaknesses and vice versa, but I’m not that fond of the disjointed vanilla Combined Army aesthetics.

The Beasts of War trailer for the new book is located below!

Zerat Sniper Progress

I’ve made some more progress on the Zerat sniper. She’s mostly complete now aside from the base, which should be finished soon. Aside from adding some more highlights to the rifle, I changed the glow from her eyes from purple to green, which stands out much better in my opinion. Plus, I’m getting better at adding those object source lighting effects.

Check her out after the break.

Infinity: Morat Aggression Forces Vs. Aleph

I got to play two games of Infinity on Sunday: Morat Aggression Forces versus Aleph. I also got to try out some of the new terrain I bought. Since the last game, I’ve picked up a box of Woodland Scenics trees, a Micro Art Studio building, some jersey barriers, some oil drums, and two Armorcast tin-can silos. That terrain, added to the store’s and my opponent’s, made for probably the best two games of Infinity I’ve had so far.
